His work is colourful, distinctly influenced by Latin America, and dismisses academic rules of perspective. Briels is a sculptor, painter, furniture designer and glass sculptor. Yet his signature remains his cheerful and optimistic outlook on life. His successful exhibitions have followed one another rapidly across Europe, North America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Singapore and even in a museum exhibition in Shanghai.
