MOMO Rugs returns to Design District Rotterdam 2026

We are proud to announce that MOMO Rugs will once again be part of Design District Rotterdam, taking place on 27, 28 & 29 May 2026 at the iconic Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam. This UNESCO World Heritage building, once a revolutionary coffee, tea and tobacco factory, has become one of the most inspiring design locations in Europe — the perfect setting for innovation, craftsmanship and creativity. ()

This year, alongside our custom-made rugs and signature colour concept, we proudly introduce an exciting new addition to our collection: stair runners. From timeless and classic styles to contemporary and fully custom designs, our stair runners are available in almost every colour, shape and material — always with a strong focus on quality, craftsmanship and interior harmony.

MOMO x Rezas at 3Daysofdesign

From June 18 to 20, 2025, Illums Bolighus in Copenhagen will host "The Art of Handmade Rugs" as part of the 3daysofdesign festival. This event highlights the tradition and craftsmanship behind handmade rugs.

A special talk will take place on Thursday, June 19th, from 14:00 to 15:00. Reto Aschwanden, Director of Label STEP, will share insights into the people, processes, and cultures that contribute to the creation of handmade rugs.

The event is presented by Rezas and Momo Rugs and invites visitors to take a closer look at authentic rug-making traditions.

Design District 2025

From May 21 to 23, 2025, the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam hosted Design District — the leading interior design trade event in the Netherlands. During this inspiring three-day event, MOMO Rugs By Vloerkledenwinkel proudly launched their very first in-house rug collection.

The new collection features 21 distinctive designs made entirely from recyclable, ecological yarns. Available in both wool and polyamide, each rug is certified for heavy use and designed to meet the demands of both residential and commercial interiors. Five of these designs were revealed exclusively during the event, offering visitors a first look at pieces not available anywhere else.

On May 22, from 17:00 to 19:00, a special launch moment took place at Stand S13, where visitors were invited to explore the collection up close, meet the team behind MOMO Rugs, and learn more about the inspiration and craftsmanship behind each piece.

Momo rugs by Vloerkledenwinkel also highlighted their latest services for interior professionals and introduced an interactive experience where attendees could try their hand at creating a rug themselves — a popular and creative addition to the stand.

We’re proud to have been part of such an inspiring and well-attended event, and we’re grateful to all who visited us to experience the next chapter in the MOMO Rugs story.
